Dew Drop World

Loosely based around a quote from the Diamond Sutra, Dew Drop World is the first release from Olson on Interworld. Using a collage of manipulated and time-stretched samples, Olson creates introspective ambient loops which are both vivid and emotive. Each piece is a reflection on the beauty of everyday life in all its ups and downs – an attempt to find balance between the joyous and the melancholy, and to find meaning through sound in the ever-shifting sands of experience.

“Like a tiny drop of dew, or a bubble floating in a stream;
Like a flash of lightning in a summer cloud,
Or a flickering lamp, an illusion, a phantom, or a dream.
So is all conditioned existence to be seen.”
